Snake Antivenin in West Africa

Seeing an unmet need in Guinea and Sierra Leone, Talon Launch formed, with its inception project, out of a direct need to increase the accessibility of snakebite antivenin to the remote regions of West Africa. With antivenin being a limited availability, high-value medication storage at multiple locations is logistically not feasible. Due to the limited antivenin availability and challenging infrastructure, thousands of preventable deaths and disabilities occur each year.

Talon is partnered with The Asclepius Snakebite Foundation to develop a solution to autonomously deliver antivenin and blood to remote locations in order to save lives and prevent disability. This project exemplifies the innovative teamwork of Talon Launch to field low-cost, intuitive highly reliable platforms for an unusually unique situation.
